Hotsos Symposium 2011 Party Theme


Comment ca va? It's official. The theme for the 2011 Hotsos Symposium party is a "Swamp Stomp". It will have a definite Cajun flair to it with crawfish, Hotsos hot sauce and Zydeco music. Kerry Osborne - Keynote Speaker for Hotsos Symposium 2011

We are pleased to announce that Kerry Osborne of Enkitec has agreed to be the keynote speaker at Hotsos Symposium 2011.


Kerry has been a frequent speaker at prior Hotsos Symposia, and his presentations are always interesting, informative and well-attended. He's become a favorite of attendees.

Thanks to everyone who submitted an abstract for Hotsos Symposium 2011. We received a record number of abstracts this year, and it is going to be extremely difficult to choose the 30 plus session topics from all of these great abstracts.

Hotsos Profiler 5.2.3 Is Available for Download

Hotsos is pleased to announce that Profiler 5.2.3 is ready for download.


This release fixes the following issues:

  • --runstat command line option on Mac OS x

  • changed file mode of p5prof_wrapper to a+x

  • correctly identifies task end times for more pre-10.2 trace files

  • no longer renders "CPU service, unreported call(s)" duration offset by large "unaccounted-for between dbcalls" duration"

Karen Morton - Hotsos Symposium Training Day 2011

Yep, we got her! The Grand Poobah of SQL, Karen Morton, has agreed to host Hotsos Symposium Training Day 2011.
